 Understanding SO-239 and PL-259

SO-239 is known as the female UHF connector, typically found on the base of radios and antenna systems. It's designed to provide a secure connection that won't come loose accidentally, thanks to its threaded coupling.

PL-259, on the other hand, is the male UHF connector, commonly used on the ends of cables to connect with the SO-239. It's available in two sizes, one for fine coaxial cables like RG-58, and the other for thicker cables such as RG-8.
